Plumbing dilemma in Potts Point
Jane hummed aloud to the song that was playing on the radio. She was stopped at a red light on her way home and was in the best mood she’d been in all day. She had just completed a round of tennis in Potts Point with her friend, Alice, and had won. Jane lived 10 minutes drive from the tennis centre and was almost home.
She caught sight of her single storey home, pulled into the concrete driveway and jumped out. Home, sweet home, she mused. She headed straight for the shower, as she had decided to give it a miss at the centre. She turned the taps on and imagined the relief that the warm shower would bring to her aching muscles. She worked hard for that win. She stepped in but it wasn’t as satisfying as she had hoped. The water pressure just wasn’t right, she thought. She attempted to adjust the taps to provide the pressure she was after but the limp water remained. She knew that it was a lost cause as she had been putting up with this lack of water pressure for a while now. It was then that she decided that she would finally do something about it. She hurriedly rinsed out the conditioner, dried herself off and dressed into her favourite comfy t-shirt and track pants.
Jane ran her finger along the books in her bookshelf until she came across the phone directory that she was searching for. “Ahh, here it is,” she said. She flicked to the plumbers section and proceeded to analyse the list in front of her. After a few minutes of reading she found one that she was happy with. She had heard from her mother that this particular group of plumbers, in Potts Point, were very good and anyone that her mother recommended must be fabulous because she was conservative in her praise. She continued to read that these plumbers also serviced the Potts Point and Eastern Suburbs area as well as Woolloomooloo, Elizabeth Bay, Kings Cross and Rushcutters Bay. She picked up her phone and dialled with anticipation. A friendly voice answered immediately. She explained her plumbing problem to the person on the other end and a time was arranged for the plumber to stop by. She was very happy when she was told that he was able to make the visit the very next day.
The next day the Potts Point plumber arrived on time and investigated the water pressure for himself. A short time later, he explained that some of the pipes had corroded and would need to be replaced. Jane was grateful that this had been discovered and gave him the go ahead to replace the taps. The plumber then went on to say that her shower would provide the higher pressure that she was longing for after the change.
Jane was thrilled with this plumber’s efficient and effective service and knew that she would call these guys first should another plumbing problem arise.
